5 Most Anticipated PS5 Games for 2022 and Onward

FFXVI

It is not surprising why Square Enix has released one trailer every time, and the Internet goes wild. In 2020, there was a massive uproar on the new trailer and the map preview from their latest iteration of the Final Fantasy franchise.

Final Fantasy 16 was the follow-up to the widely purchased and critically successful Final Fantasy XV. This trailer featured a more formatted job style like the classic Final Fantasy RPG job formatting every Japanese-inspired RPG emulates. The three characters FFXVI characters featured were Red Knights, White Mages, and a Knight.

Square Enix aimed for a 2021 release, but it’s likely to see the game in full working potential in late 2022, with additional DLCs onwards. But knowing the reputation of Square Enix and their current projects, Avengers and the Final Fantasy 7 remake, the FFXV sequel will be delayed, and this blog’s expectations of this game’s exact debut are low.

Regardless, Square Enix will deliver the goods at the right time. FFXVI is set to debut in 2022 tentatively.

God of War: Ragnarok

The PS4 version of God of War had rave reviews and critical acclaim. As a result, this was one of PS4’s most purchased games. Now, Sony had released the trailer for its sequel featuring a young Angraboda, Thor, and Tyr as new characters. God of War: Ragnarok, The sequel to the loosely-themed anachronistic retelling of the Greek and Norse mythology fusion game, is set to debut in 2022 on PS5.

Elden Ring

The game gave much speculation and hype on George R.R. Martin’s debut with From Software and its leading producer Hidetaka Miyazaki. Martin was the creator of the successful franchise Game of Thrones, as Miyazaki created the most innovative Action-RPG titles in the last two decades, Bloodborne and Dark Souls, also known in de facto as the Soulsborne franchise.

Their collaborative effort will debut on January 21, 2022.

Marvel's Spiderman 2

The response to Donald Glover, also known as the rapper Childish Gambino’s character Aaron Davis left the Marvel comic and movie fandom in awe in the 2017 film Spiderman: Homecoming.

The question was if Miles Morales, Davis’ nephew also another person who held the Spiderman moniker in the comics, would debut. Everyone on the Internet had given praise to the First Spiderman game on PS4. Then, of course, the game gave Miles Morales his game debut in 2018’s Spiderman.

This game ensured his on-screen debut to Into the Spiderverse was successful. And finally, his spinoff game debuted in 2020, Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

But what’s next for the Spiderman game anthology? The trailer hinted at Venom’s appearance in the next one and maybe, with fingers crossed, a version of the Spiderman symbiote suit. This game is set to debut in 2023.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2

Breath of the Wild gave a literal breath of fresh air to the open-world genre. Its 2017 debut gave the standard on how a modern open-world game should be.

That is why Immortals Fenyx Rizing and Genshin Impact was trying to emulate and catch up to. For the record, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild walked so such games as Immortals Fenyx Rizing and Genshin Impact could run. It’s not DesignerPile who makes the rules, and this blog only states the facts.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will debut in 2022.
